Set on the eastern side of the River Esk, this delightful retreat has an allocated car space – a rarity in Whitby – and provides light, spacious accommodation for up to four guests seeking a relaxing holiday destination. The eastern part of town is home to the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and the remains of Whitby Abbey which are accessed via the famous 199 steps. Crossing over the Esk, the western part of town features attractions including Pannett Park, Whalebone Arch, the Endeavour Experience, the Dracula Experience and the beautiful sandy beach, all within a couple of miles. Heading inland you can enjoy long walks in the North York Moors, or go 5 miles along the coast to the idyllic Robin Hood’s Bay.
Entering the property, there’s a shared entrance hallway with stairs and a lift to take you up to this delightful apartment on the second floor. Stepping inside, you will find a large hallway with storage space before you head into the bright and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The room is dominated by the big bay window allowing plenty of light to stream in, and offering far-reaching views over the surrounding area and towards the harbour. There’s also a window seat so you can sit back and watch the boats go by. The lounge offers a Smart TV and plenty of seating so you can unwind with a movie at the end of a memorable day. The central dining area is a great spot to get together to chat and share a family meal which you can rustle up in the stylishly designed and beautifully equipped kitchen. At the end of the day, there are two light and relaxing bedrooms, both with ample storage space: a beautiful king-size room and a pretty super-king-size zip-and-link which can be made up as a twin on request. The apartment also has a refreshing shower room.
Outside, there are shared gardens and a play park for younger guests.
