Retreat to this inviting character cottage, once part of the Westgate Hall estate and close to the green in Burnham Market, often dubbed Chelsea-on-Sea. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom, mid-terrace cottage makes a great base for enjoying the many attractions of the village, from its gastropubs to its art galleries and independent shops. From here, strike out on walks through the North Norfolk countryside or head up to the coast. Pick up the Norfolk Coast Path at Burnham Overy Staithe, 1.5 miles away, walking just over 6 miles to the beautiful beach at Brancaster, or almost 7 miles to Wells-next-the-Sea. Drive 6.5 miles to the beach at Wells to spend time on the sand and swim in the sea.
Step straight into the cottage to find yourselves in an open-plan living area, with character features such as a beamed ceiling and fireplace with a wood burner. Light the wood burner then relax in its cosy glow with the flatscreen TV, with HD Freeview, or the DVD player on. There is also a Bluetooth speaker and CD player in here. Take a step down into the country-style kitchen/diner, with its pamment floor and cast-iron feature range, which has been set into a fireplace. The kitchen area has an electric Everhot cooker and hob, similar in style to an Aga, as well as a dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Climb up the traditional Norfolk winder staircase to discover two beautiful bedrooms. One is with a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room with a shower cubicle and drench head shower, and a WC. The other is with twin beds. The family bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC is also at this level.
Take your first cup of coffee of the day out into the cottage’s courtyard to enjoy the fresh air. Have lunch or dinner at the table out here too, cooking on the BBQ if you choose. Parking for this cottage is on the roadside, subject to availability.
