Situated in the picturesque hamlet of Low Row, this Grade II-listed property makes a quirky, fresh and inviting holiday home for up to three guests. Beautifully decorated and retaining plenty of original charm, this pretty cottage is a wonderful base for keen walkers and cyclists exploring the glorious scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The local pub serves excellent meals, with a wide selection of pubs, cafes and craft shops in Reeth, 4 miles away, or you can head to the bustling market town of Richmond, 15 miles east. Exploring the Dales, local attractions include the ruins of Richard III’s Middleham Castle, the Old Gang Smelting Mill, Calver Hill, The Forbidden Corner and Aysgarth Falls, all within 16 miles.

Four steps lead up to the entrance and into this delightful and traditional property. The inner hallway has storage space for coats and boots before you head through to the quaint and welcoming lounge/diner. With a Yorkstone floor, exposed stone walls and a beamed ceiling, this beautiful room provides a perfect space to unwind in, with a wood burner set in a stone surround on the large hearth. There’s plenty of seating so you can sit back and read a book or watch a movie while, to the side of the room, the dining area provides a great space to gather around and enjoy a favourite meal. The beamed kitchen has plenty of equipment so you can rustle up all your favourite dishes. A winding stone staircase leads up to the first floor where you will find a refreshing shower room and two cosy bedrooms. There’s a charming single room and a pretty king-size room, which is accessed via a step up and features exposed stonework, a TV, a dressing table and views over Swaledale.

Heading outside, there’s a patio area to the front of the cottage, with five steps leading up to a large, decked area with a furnished summer house offering outstanding views of the surrounding countryside. With plenty of outdoor furniture, the garden makes a lovely spot for a morning coffee and for observing the local wildlife.

Wardell Hall Cottage is a truly cosy refuge from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. Set in the Dales in a picturesque location. A delightful cottage in a prime location for visiting Swaledale. Comfortable, well appointed with a great view of the dale. We would suggest more could be done to make the driveway better. We loved everything about the cottage and surroundings absolutely brilliant. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay Unforgettable. We loved the summerhouse and had a glass or two of wine in there most evenings. The only negative thing was when we stripped the bed in the smaller bedroom on the morning we were leaving we noticed the pRead moreillow protectors had stains on them and the mattress protector was covered in hair and the blanket that was on the bed also had a stain. Lovely, modernised cottage with beautiful views over Swaledale. In a great location for exploring the Dale's. The summer house is a lovely place to spend the evening.
