Looking out over Budle Bay to Lindisfarne, this beautifully designed cottage is set in an idyllic rural location, perfect for a family or large group of friends to gather for a coastal holiday. Bamburgh Castle Golf Club is only 100 metres from the property, and Bamburgh village (1.5 miles) has a lot to offer: the castle is a great day out for all the family; the beach is a stunning stretch of white sands and dunes; and there are plentiful shops and eateries to explore. Up and down this stretch of coast visitors are inundated with fascinating and beautiful places to visit including the well-known historic town Berwick-upon-Tweed 20 miles to the north, where you will find many more places to eat and shop as well as theatre and music at the Maltings. This location is ideal for those wishing to take boat trips to the Farne Islands archipelago or Lindisfarne, which are alive and rich with history, breathtaking scenery and opportunities to come face-to-face with dolphins, puffins and myriad other marine species.

On the ground floor, you will find the open-plan living space, comprising the lounge, dining and kitchen areas. The property combines traditional elements such as an Aga range and exposed beams, with more contemporary features, including the neutral seating in the lounge and the travertine-tiled bathrooms. Artwork inspired by the property’s location adorns the walls of the lounge, and the seating area is arranged around the TV and homely open fire. A delightful dresser stands in the kitchen, and a large wooden table with matching chairs is the focus of the dining area. The games and TV room is the perfect place to hang out and have fun, with a pool table and board games available for use, while the conservatory is a tranquil oasis with wonderful views. This floor features two bedrooms: a cosy and colourful double room with stylish en-suite shower room, and a twin with a bold colour scheme and mirrored cabinets. Here you’ll also find an impressive, fully-tiled shower room. Moving upstairs, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The super-king-size takes the property’s coastal surroundings as its inspiration and offers wonderful views of Budle Bay, while the charming twin is designed with younger visitors in mind. A spacious and contemporary bathroom offers the perfect place to soak in the bath or enjoy a reviving shower. Light pours in from the two Velux windows.

The patio is enclosed with a low wall so you can still soak up those incredible views while you enjoy a hot brew in the morning, or drinks late into the night after a delicious BBQ. The hot tub on the patio is perfectly situated so you can relax while taking in the surrounding scenery all year round.

For the amount we paid we didnt expect the cottage to be as tatty as it was. Stayed many times in cottages in Northumberland with another company and was very satisfied.

Cottage and location are perfect, however the cottage is in need of some general TLC. Paintwork requires freshening up throughout. Heated towel radiator in upstairs bathroom needs replacing as doesnt work. Roof in games room leaks when raining so needs repairing or replacing. Someone did come out to check it when I informed them but could not doRead more anything at that time. The hot tub could have a roof over it for when its raining. The kitchen equipment was well stocked with everything you need. We loved cooking on the Aga. The dishwasher could be in need of attention as dishes came out dirty at times. Pool table got well used by the family. Overall a lovely time spent with family. Hide

Fabulous location and abosutely the most stunning views. We loved the location, the hot tub, the fireplace and the pool table and the Aga too! However the level of cleanliness and attention to detail really let this place down for us.
