This well-designed cottage is ideal for a family or group of friends to enjoy a seaside holiday in the heart of Northumberland. It is set within a private and secluded gated complex and is one of three attractive cottages on site. Despite its tranquil location, you’ll have all of the amenities of the town of Bamburgh on your doorstep. There is a good array of shops to browse and many cafes, pubs and restaurants to choose from. The impressive Bamburgh Castle faces out to sea behind a long swathe of golden sands and is less than half a mile from the holiday home. The whole area is wonderful for walkers with the coastal path stretching off in both directions. Along the coast, guests can visit the Holy Island of Lindisfarne around 15 miles away. Just 3.5 miles to the south is the pretty fishing village of Seahouses. Boat trips run from the harbour here to visit the varied marine wildlife on the Farne Islands.
The cottage has been thoughtfully decorated and has an unusual and inspired layout. The living room is to be found on the first floor with a central raised ceiling and apex window. The window offers exceptional views of Bamburgh Castle and the raised ceiling houses a contemporary feature light fixture. This is a lovely place to spend time relaxing on the plush seating and admiring the views. On the ground floor, guests will find a sleek and modern kitchen/diner with an island and breakfast bar, as well as a large dining table with windows overlooking the garden. The bedrooms are split across the two floors and all three have en-suite bathrooms. On the ground floor, there’s a versatile room with a zip-and-link bed that can either be a twin room or a super-king – please request when booking. There is an additional guest cloakroom on this floor. Upstairs on the first floor, there’s a king-size bedroom and a pretty twin room. All of the bedrooms are spacious and stylish with sleek modern bathrooms.
Accessed from the kitchen/diner there is a lovely secluded garden. The patio is set with an outside furniture and is the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon reading the papers and enjoying a quiet drink. There is also a BBQ for guests to use.
