This quirkily shaped property is the ideal retreat for a large group of friends or a couple of families getting together for a special occasion. Situated in one of the country’s most well-preserved medieval towns, this Lavenham property offers something truly special. The town, which was built on roaring wool and cloth trades, now has a number of timer-clad listed buildings and is a joy to behold as you wander its streets. Head into town on a Sunday to take advantage of the farmers’ market and pick yourself up some local breads, meats and fresh farm produce to enjoy back at your cottage. You’ll be surrounded by a network of beautiful walks, many of which have welcoming pubs en route. If you want to venture further afield, Bury St Edmunds is just over 12 miles away and is a real jewel in the crown of Suffolk. This foodie town has a beautiful cathedral and abbey to explore and is home to a plethora of fine eateries.

Approach the property along an avenue of trees and marvel at the incredible reverse-level holiday let you’re going to call home for the foreseeable. Enter the light-filled foyer and chance upon the sweeping staircase which will you to the first floor and the grand open-plan kitchen, dining and living space. There is an essence of a treetop hideaway throughout, and you’ll feel as though you’re staying in the canopy as you gaze out of the curvaceous glass windows. These unique panes give you a panoramic view of the luscious Lavenham countryside, and you’ll feel right at home as you unwind by the welcoming wood burner or pick one of the many seating spots to catch up with friends or a good book or watch the Smart TV. The dining area will become the hub of the house as you gather around the long table that has space for all guests. Huge windows provide plenty of light and more views. The kitchen is next and flows from the dining area effortlessly. Cooking will come naturally in this deluxe room with its kitchen island and doors out to the balcony. You’ll find five of the six bedrooms on the upper ground floor, four of which have en-suite shower rooms, with the fifth offering an en-suite bathroom. There’s a super-king-size, a king-size, a bunk room and two twins (one of which is zip-and-link so it can be configured as a super-king-size). The lower ground floor offers an en-suite double room as well as a utility room. All the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have floor-to-ceiling windows.

For outside space, you have a choice. There’s a rooftop terrace nestled amongst the trees which has comfortable seating, a BBQ and a woodfired pizza oven. Down at ground level, there are beautiful, enclosed grounds surrounding the property including a wild meadow garden, a pond with a water feature, and a trampoline, climbing frame and swings.
