This bright, detached bungalow is a cosy, welcoming base for families to enjoy a seaside getaway in popular Abersoch and other destinations across the Llyn Peninsula. If you can tear yourself away from the views of this elevated-position home, the village of Abersoch (half a mile) is a lovely place to while away hours browsing shops, enjoying an ice cream in the sunshine and treating yourself to family meals in the many restaurants where you can try some local seafood. Beach lovers are in luck: Abersoch has a long, sandy beach with rentable colourful beach huts that make family days on the sand easy and fun. There’s also boat trips to the nearby scenic islands of St Tudwal’s and Bardsey, fun when the conditions are good, and a golf course to enjoy a few rounds. Walking fan? Visit Llanbedrog (3 miles) and ramble the Llyn Coast Path or take a vigorous walk up the headland for spectacular views.
This holiday home is designed for you to really relax on your getaway, especially in the ground-floor, open-plan living space where the lounge is bright and cosy with its plush leather sofas and double doors leading to the furnished patio so you can take the socialising and dining straight outside. There’s plenty here to keep everyone entertained: there’s an iPod compatible stereo and a 55-inch HD TV. Come dinnertime, prepare family meals in the kitchen that’s well-equipped with NEFF appliances and a Tassimo coffee machine for those morning brews that you can sip outside while admiring the views. The kitchen’s light wood units and wall tiles feel rustic, as does the wooden dining table and eight chairs where you can all tuck into home-cooked meals. Head upstairs and you’ll find the bathroom featuring a shower over a bath and the three homely bedrooms: a double with a TV and DVD player to watch from the comfort of your bed; a second double with an en-suite shower room; and a quad that makes a great children’s sleepover room with its two sets of bunk beds and TV with DVD player.
The outside facilities are a holiday home highlight here. Pass through the lounge’s double doors to the fully enclosed rear garden where there’s lawn and a patio area, ideal for al fresco dining with an eight-seater table and chairs, a parasol, BBQ and solar wall lights for when evening draws in. Gated wooden steps lead up to a fantastic, raised sun terrace: relax on the rattan armchairs and sofa with a drink and take in the wonderful panoramic views across Abersoch to Cardigan Bay and the sea. You can access the garage from the garden, which has a washing machine, a dryer and a second fridge.
