The drift is a lovely little cottage in a quiet and picturesque village. We stayed there in March and enjoyed a very pleasant and relaxing week. It has two good sized bedrooms and one single room just large enough for a bed but no other furniture. The lounge was cosy and we lit the wood burning stove on several occasions. The kitchen was well equipRead moreped but lacking a dishwasher. The stairs were steep but not as bad as some Norfolk cottages I have stayed in. The main issue for me was that this cottage was advertised as having an enclosed garden safe for children and pups but when I arrived I noticed after a quick inspection that there were large areas of fencing that were almost nonexistent. I had to keep my dog on the lead whenever we went outside, otherwise he could have escaped to next doors garden and beyond. I would think twice about staying there again but only for this reason. Otherwise I would definitely recommend. Hide

Spent an amazing week at this gorgeous, cosy and luxurious cottage. The log burner was wonderful on a cooler night and we had great fun hunting for logs in the woods we passed. A perfect cottage in a perfect location for visiting all that Norfolk has to offer. Cant wait to stay there again.

Absolutely amazing time and beautiful cottage along with the small quaint village. Would recommend a stay in the drift. Great quality bedding and towels. The log fire made our stay .

Whilst the property is old on entering it smelt musty. There were flies in the bedroom overlooking the garden. A seat in the bedroom would have been nice so that you can dry your hair. I was surprised there was not even a pint of milk in the fridge to welcome you. This the first property I have rented that had nothing!!!

Quiet, nice location in rural hamlet. Quaint, comfortable cottage, plenty big enough for 4 adults and a child. The stairs lead up from steps in the dining room and are quite steep and turn onto the landing. Beaches within 40 mins drive, local woodland at Holt for dog walking 5 mins drive away (parking charges apply). Lovely little cafe in car parRead morek serving drinks, ice creams cakes and breakfast rolls. Lots to do and visit locally. Property very warm even with no heating on. Lots of hot water for a relaxing bath after a busy day walking. Friendly neighbours and locals. Will definitely be back. Hide

The property was really comfortable and honestly felt like a home-from-home. The location was perfect for peace and quiet but close to the coast and Holt, a nearby market town.
