Property code: OC-WY477

Providing cosy and welcoming accommodation for up to four guests, this light-filled apartment makes a great base for enjoying a well-earned break in a beautiful part of the Isle of Purbeck. The apartment is ideally situated for making the most of the historic seaside town of Swanage, with a variety of great places to eat and drink just metres from the door. Swanage has three lovely beaches, all within half a mile, and is home to plenty of attractions and landmarks including Santa-Fe Fun Park, Swanage Pier, Peveril Point and Durlston Castle in the beautiful Durlston Country Park. From the nearby station you can take a steam train trip through to the historic village of Corfe Castle, 6 miles west.

Entering this airy and refreshing apartment, the lounge/diner provides a lovely, sociable space. The light-filled lounge has plenty of seating, and the dining table is over by the bay window which offers a fabulous view out across Swanage, where you can spot steam trains heading towards the Purbeck Hills. The apartment also has a compact, homely kitchen, a refreshing shower room and two colourful bedrooms: a charming double room with plenty of storage and sea views, and a cosy twin room.

While the apartment doesn’t have any outdoor space of its own, with the beach and other delights of Swanage on your doorstep, you aren’t short of places to explore.

Parking: Please note the walkway from the parking spaces at the side of the building up to the main entrance door is steep, there are some unallocated unrestricted roadside spaces opposite the building, these are very much on a first come first served basis.

Lovely apartment in great location. Just a short stroll to the town, beach and the shops and a great base for exploring the rest of the surrounding area. The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed and a fantastic view to enjoy with our breakfast or evening meal.

It is a clean, well situated apartment within easy walking distance of Swanage. We enjoyed our stay at Driftaway and would consider staying again.

We had a very enjoyable stay everything we needed..Lovely view and very comfortable accommodation..Only problem for us as we both have knee and back problems was the slope which we were not expecting to be as steep and then the 2 flights of stairs with suitcases we found very difficult

Excellent apartment and contained everything needed. Perfect location for attending the Steam Gala at the station. Perfect views from the windows, with a view of the sea, hills and trains

We had a lovely stay, thank you. The views from the lounge are stunning and well worth the 2 flights of stairs. We enjoyed looking out at the rooftops, sea, and hills as well as catching glimpses of the steam train. The flat was very well equipped, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Plenty of natural light which made it airy too. Lots of storaRead morege in the bedrooms and plenty of hot water. Its in a handy location for the town and sea too, with walks downhill in a couple of directions taking 10-15 minutes for the able bodied. There is also a convenient Spar shop a few minutes walk away. And a Chinese takeaway even closer. The parking space is certainly useful but a little tight, and as indicated in the description, because the parking is below the flats and all is set on a hill side you do need to walk up quite a steep slope to get to the entrance. This is a public pavement and does benefit from a hand rail. Communication with original cottages was good, with emails and texts giving instructions in good time. Hide

The flat is very comfortable and so clean. It had everything we needed. It is perfectly situated too. Only a short walk into the town. The views were amazing - hadnt really thought before to be on the 2nd floor, but you can see the steam train and the bay.
