This modern detached house offers ample space, inside and out, for groups of friends or families to enjoy. The property is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac within half a mile from the pretty village of Sidmouth which is home to a number of shops, pubs and restaurants. Just 1.5 miles away is the picturesque Regency town of Sidmouth which boasts an excellent range of independent shops and amenities, and sits along an impressive coastline and Blue Flag award-winning beaches. Just 8 miles away is the town of Seaton; gateway town to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Seaton beach is over a mile long and hosts a wealth of water sports and activities.

This tastefully decorated property boasts well-proportioned, light and airy rooms throughout and offers guests a truly warm and welcoming place to stay. The entrance hall leads to a sizable open-plan living room/diner. With its comfortable soft furnishings and lovely Georgian Bow window, the living room offers the perfect place to relax together on an evening and watch a spot of TV after a day of sightseeing or curl up with a book in front of the feature electric fire during the colder months. At the opposite end of the room, you’ll find a dining table with seating for six and French doors opening to the patio area. There is also a separate kitchen which is equipped with everything you need to prepare an evening meal, or a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day.  Upstairs on the first floor are the property’s three comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms; a double bedroom with a wash basin, a twin bedroom, and a children’s bunk bedroom. The upstairs is completed by a family bathroom.

Outside is a small lawn garden at the front of the property and a sizable enclosed lawn garden with a patio area and dining furniture, to the rear.

A comfortable well-equipped house. It's a pleasant two mile parkland green walk to the Sidmouth sea front, or there is a half-hourly bus. There is a well-stocked Spar shop within 5 minutes walk, and a Waitrose about 1.5 miles away. Plenty of places to visit by car or bus.

Very comfortable & spacious house in an ideal location to visit local areas. Great for families. We had a very nice week as a family of 5.

Farthings is a bit dated perhaps even a bit quirky with one or two issues, however, if the issues were addressed the property is in its in a nice quite location at the end of the byes, with a plain south facing garden and a regular a bus service near by.

The property showed its age and the layout was therefore quirky to our eyes. The single bathroom might complicate matter if more than a single couple or small family. The master bedroom, for example, was difficult to navigate. The garden was barren and unkempt, although sitting on the patio was pleasant enough. We emailed a couple of maintenance isRead moresues which we hope were sorted before the next residents arrive. The dancing sea gulls on the roof at 5.00 am were unexpected. We had a great week. Just a couple of minor things to mention, kitchen cupboards need a clear out to leave space for food and the Fridge needs defrosting ice box is frozen up. First cottage weve hired where beds not made up and towels supplied. Think this should be included in the price, who wants to come home to all that extra washing.
