Overlooking Lyme Bay on the Jurassic Coast, Beer is a busy seaside village with a shingle beach where fishing boats land their catch and, on the hillside above, the Jubilee Gardens are a favourite spot for picnics and panoramic sea views. Follow the South West Coast Path or drive less than 2 miles east and you’ll get to Seaton, a natural playground for watersports fans; head to historic Lyme Regis, 8 miles further on, and you can stroll along the famous 13th-century Cobb wall. Less than 10 miles west of Beer, Sidmouth is a lively seaside town with Regency-era elegance, while a similar distance to the north is Honiton, known as the antique capital of the South West and famous for its pottery and lace-making heritage.
Located in the centre of the village, less than 400 metres from the beach, this three-storey property is entered through a spacious reception hall with exposed brickwork, a feature ornamental fireplace, stripped floorboards and an understairs cupboard which houses a washer/dryer. There’s room for children to play here, along with plenty of space for coats, boots and beach gear. On the first floor, there’s a modern family bathroom with feature twin basins, plus three light and bright bedrooms – two with a king-size bed, one with twins, and each with space for you to unpack and settle in comfortably. An open-plan loft-style lounge/dining/kitchen area on the second floor suggests lots of fun time with friends or family. Linger at the dinner table, stretch out on the sofa or cook up a feast in the contemporary-styled kitchen; there’s a TV, DVD and iPod docking station for additional entertainment.
There’s no garden here, but the beach is a pleasant downhill stroll from your doorstep and, above it, Jubilee Gardens offers green space and glorious coastal views.
