Holidaymakers will be eager to keep coming back to this delightful family-friendly property with its thoughtfully updated décor and beautifully conserved period features. The holiday home is located in Beer, a Devonshire haven that’s situated both on the coast and on the brink of the East Devon AONB. Wander down to the picture-perfect Beer Beach (0.5 miles), passing by local pubs and independent shops along the way. From here you’ll find yourself on the celebrated Jurassic Coast, a 95-mile route of coastline that’s filled with geological intrigue, and the South West Coastal Path that links Devon to both Cornwall and Dorset. Those with younger guests in tow will find plenty of entertainment at the nearby Beer Quarry Caves (1 mile), a local Donkey Sanctuary (5.5 miles) or simply exploring any of the fantastic shingle beaches accessible mere metres from home.

This Arts and Crafts cottage has been elegantly updated retaining original features and fireplaces throughout, and design elements which certainly compliment the pastel décor maintained throughout. As you enter the property you step into the tiled hall and a single step down to an open-plan dining area. Here you’ll find panoramic views of the surrounding village, and a generous dining table set for six. Adjacent is the well-equipped refurbished kitchen with all of the appliances you may need and an adjacent utility room with additional white goods that’ll come in handy. The comfortable lounge is also here on the ground floor, proudly presented with leather sofas, an open fire and a Smart TV in way of entertainment. Each of these rooms is served by a handy ground-floor shower room with WC. Climb the handsome wooden staircase up from the hall to reach the bedrooms. There is a gorgeous stained-glass window in the family bathroom with separate bath and shower cubicle. Alongside is a double bedroom which makes up the first of three bedrooms and across the landing up Just two steps up to the final bedrooms, a king and a twin. Each of these rooms benefits from good storage and village views that are a dream to wake up to.

From the private parking area a short flight of steps lead down to the front door and a sun-trap patio with more stunning views. Here you’ll find a stone-flagged area with an outdoor dining set and firepit that doubles up as a BBQ.

Beer is an absolute gem and Westview Cottage was extremely comfortable. For us it was a great location. It is on a steep hill which may not be right for everyone though. The cottage is very well equipped - we regularly rent in various locations around the UK, and this was *way* better than most. We usually want to try somewhere new each time, but wRead moree will be going back to Westview Cottage very soon! Hide

Very clean, well equiped and thoughful decor. The location is very convenient for Beer seafront and is only a short walk to the shops, restaurants and pubs. Being able to park on the front was also brilliant.

We have been visiting Beer every year since 1989. We have stayed in lots of different cottages in that time, and this is by far the best cottage we have stayed in. It was very clean, very well equipped, comfortable, great size property and fantastic views across the village. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a brilliant cottage. It's clean and bright and the owners take a great deal of trouble keeping it that way. This was our third visit and there have been significant improvements each time - this time it was a complete refurbishment of the utility room. That's very impressive.
