This property is an end-terrace townhouse. Set over three floors, this excellent holiday home is conveniently placed for those wishing to visit the southern Lake District and surrounding area or coast whilst having all of the amenities to enjoy and explore within Ulverston itself. It’s a great option for a family or small group of friends happy to share bedrooms. Ulverston has many pubs and eateries to enjoy as part of being a market town – there are even some art shows at its Coronation House. Ulverston has many festivals throughout the year, from food and beers to flags and the famous Dickensian Festival, to name but a few. Newby Bridge is just over 8 miles away from where the southerly tip of Lake Windermere originates, and home to Windermere Lake Cruises. Guests could even take a step back in time and enjoy the steam train from Newby Bridge to Haverthwaite, just 6 miles from the cottage.

Stepping into the property, the kitchen is on the ground floor to the right and is sleek with all modern conveniences, including a granite countertop and tiled floor, and there’s a utility area just off it too. Also on the ground floor, there’s a cloakroom WC and dining room, which has French glass doors leading to the rear patio area. On the first floor, the living room is at the rear boasting comfortable seating, a Juliet balcony and a Smart TV. Also on this floor is the charming master bedroom with a king-size bed, and a TV and DVD player; this room also has a contemporary en-suite bathroom with a shower. On the top floor are two more beautifully presented bedrooms, one being a twin and the other a double bed, which has Velux windows and a sloping ceiling. Both share, with Jack and Jill doors, a stylish bathroom which has a bath and shower. This bathroom is perfect for a relaxing soak after a day's exploring and activities.

The enclosed courtyard patio is a great spot to sit out with a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.

This is a lovely house, located really near the pretty town of Ulverston but also the Lakes. Please note though, it is on a main road so there is road noise but that didnt detract from the enjoyment of our stay. The house is very well equipped; more than most. The extra touches like supplying hand soap, spare toilet rolls, tea/coffee, etc are aRead morell above and beyond what weve had in other holiday homes. For days out, wed recommend local walks up and around Hoad Hill and along the canal to the estuary (you can do a circular walk back). Further afield there are lakes, national trust properties, forests; we had so many lovely walks!! The town is beautiful with lots of grocery shops in a short walking distance and more pubs than you know what to do with! We recommend eating at The Farmers and the Rose and Crown. We had such a great trip and will hopefully be back again. Hide

Excellent property- home from home with everything we needed - all kitted out to a high spec- like a hotel but cosier! Although the property is on a main road, this did not detract from our stay - as we are right in the centre of town -handy for shops, pubs and restaurants and easy access for countryside walks with the dog. There is a small outdoRead moreor patio at back, but not enough space for a dog to "relax" - so the dog has to be walked a short distance to find some green space. There is a small park only 5 minutes walk from the property where dogs can be exercised freely, and plenty of excellent country walks locally such as Hoad Hill and Ulverston canal. Ulverston itself is a small, friendly town with plenty of amenities- and then for further afield, it is situated right on the edge of the Lake District accessible by car. Hide
