A charming cottage in the quiet village of Reynoldston, this enticing holiday home is a superb base for immersing yourselves in the beauty of the Gower Peninsula. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat sits at the centre of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just 2.5 miles away you’ll find spectacular Cefn Bryn, where you can see the prehistoric monument of King Arthur’s Stone and take in panoramic views. Plan days out to beautiful beaches, where you can swim, surf and play on the sand: try Oxwich Bay, 3 miles away, or Rhossili, 6 miles away. Drive 12 miles to enjoy a day out in the city of Swansea, with its water park, shops and leisure facilities.

Head up the pretty front garden path and into the inviting and cosy lounge. Stoke up the wood burner during the colder weather and watch a bit of TV from the comfy sofas. The characterful kitchen, with a breakfast bar and door leading to the garden, adjoins the dining area via an archway. A family bathroom is also downstairs. Venture up to the first floor, via the steep, narrow, cottage-style stairs, to the king-size and twin bedrooms. These rooms are one step up from the landing and enjoy great garden views.

Four steps lead up from the kitchen to the enclosed garden with lawn and patio - an ideal place for some relaxation and an al fresco meal when the weather is kind.

Two ceiling lights and one lamp didnt have bulbs. The upstairs toilet was broken and although reported in the first night it was not repaired during our stay. Two of four cups were chipped. Towel rail not fitted correctly Some rot in bathroom near shower. The location makes up for a lot, overall it was comfortable.

The cottage is in a great location, but poor cleanliness and maintenance really let it down. We arrived to dog hair covering all the carpets both upstairs and down, a full bin, dirty kitchen surfaces, bed not made, black mould around the bath, light bulb missing, a broken towel holder and an overgrown garden with large weeds through the patio (not Read morelike the photo at all!) The kitchen chairs were also in a poor state and one collapsed when one of our party sat down. A real shame Hide

Cottage is in a good location for walking and exploring the Gower Peninsula. Unfortunately the cottage is not as shown in the photos. The grass was overgrown and the patio poorly maintained. The deckchairs had seen better days. Livingroom smelt of dogs and needs a deep clean as mentioned by other reviews. Kitchen well equipped.

Overall the house was ok. The location was the biggest plus point. Centrally located with a short drive to all the beautiful beaches. We were very disappointed by an overgrown garden, broken garden furniture, and mess left by a previous dog! It was nothing like the pictures on the website. Our dog refused to go on the garden as the grass was so lRead moreong and full of dandelions which attracted the bees. The house needs some attention to detail, a bit of modernising and a thorough floor clean. Hide

We would recommend this cottage. It was warm and cosy without feeling cramped and is in a very good location for visiting Gower and local amenities. The very steep stairs are a consideration for parties with children or people with mobility issues.

Although advertised as no welcome pack. we felt that there could have been the bare minimum of essentials (tea, milk, eggs, bread etc). Arriving after 4.00pm in winter in a village, we were very fortunate to just arrive in time, the local post office was open so we could buy these items. The cottage is located in Reynoldston which is a attractive village with a small shop. The village pub is lively and the clientele friendly, and it provides good pub food.
