The beautiful village of Binham has much to recommend it as a holiday destination. During the summer, enjoy a classical concert in the remains of the 11th-century priory which is on the same road as this property. Steeped in history, the village was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086. During your stay, it’s worth visiting Blakeney (4 miles), which is part of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and North Norfolk Heritage Coast. Take a boat trip and catch sight of the wonderful seal colony at Blakeney Point. Just 7 miles from Binham is Holt, a Georgian town which offers visitors plenty to explore, while Wells-next-the-Sea is 5 miles away. A harbour town, it is renowned for its quay and beach.

Open the door to this apartment and admire the spacious, open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. The fireplace that houses a wood burner instantly catches the eye, and musically-minded guests will be delighted at the sight of a piano standing opposite. A chandelier offers a touch of refinement to the already sumptuous surroundings. Relax on one of the sofas or chairs and gaze out at the gorgeous gardens – you could even throw the French doors open and let the outside in. Snuggle up and watch something on the TV or take your pick from the range of DVDs provided. Stick on some music via the Bluetooth speaker or dig into the selection of books available. A dining table completes the layout. Over in the kitchen, there’s everything you need to rustle up a feast, including an electric cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, and washer/dryer. Take your pick of two bedrooms: one super-king-size with a feature fireplace and wood burner, the other a double. Both have views of the priory. The bathroom is designed with accessibility in mind, containing a shower bench in the shower, and a WC.

Through the French doors, step out onto the small patio overlooking the shared gardens. If you’re feeling sporty, there’s the opportunity to play a game of tennis on the shared court. Please note, that there are several steps within the shared gardens. Parking is available for one car.

We spent a very comfortable week in Abbey House, enjoying the Norfolk countryside. The property is very well welcoming with a well equipped kitchen, spacious living area, a comfortable bed and fabulous shower set up in the wet room bathroom. Binham is a great location and the Chequers village pub and The Parlour cafe were an added bonus, as was the glorious Binham Priory. Hide

The house was warm and comfortable. We enjoyed the spaciousness the garden and the extremely. comfortable king sized bed. The wet room and everything being on one level was very useful as I have mobility problems.

Please note: 1) the entry steps/threshold are awkward for mobility-limited 2)the armchairs are 'worn out' and uncomfortable/difficult 3) it was unseasonably cold and the heating was 'barely adequate' 4) the duvet was too small for the bed We would be happy to book with you again

Surprised at not having even the most basic welcome pack. This did indeed surprise the owner when we spoke to him. I think by now that all instructions for appliances should be available. Information on fuse boxes should be available. In our case it took 7 hours to Reconnect with electricity. The tap for the sink in the kitchen was not fitteRead mored properly and consequently was dangerous because of the extreme heat of the water. None of the waste bins had been fitted with bags and neither were there any laundry bags for when we left. On the plus side the beds were very comfortable and the shower room was excellent The grounds were lovely and it was nice to be able to sit outside There was no lack of kitchen utensils or crockery or cutlery Our earlier comments wouldnt deter us from a return visit at sometime.
