Built within the grounds of a former village forge, this delightful cottage is situated by the quarry cliff-face beneath the leafy canopy of the surrounding woodlands. Lying on the edge of the pretty village of Parkmill, the cottage makes a great base for keen walkers and nature lovers discovering an idyllic part of the Gower Peninsula. A flight of steps leads from the back of the cottage up into Kilvrough Manor Woods, where you might spot buzzards and wrens, or you can cross the road to enjoy a delicious meal in a friendly pub. Three Cliffs Bay and Pobbles Bay are both within 2 miles, or you can head 6 miles along the coast to the sandy beach at Mumbles.
A couple of steps lead up into this light and welcoming cottage. The ground floor features a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with polished wooden floors and a beamed ceiling. The lounge area occupies the centre of the room, with a charming dining space over by the sliding doors to the garden. The stylish kitchen sits along the back wall. The shower room is also located on the ground floor. A flight of cottage-style stairs takes you up and directly into the sweet and cosy bedroom, with a comfortable double bed and exposed beams in the low sloping ceiling.
Sliding doors lead outside, where you will find a bench, picnic table and BBQ, providing a delightful spot for you both to sit back and unwind on a sunny evening.
