An enchanting, one-bedroom annexe, this holiday home is ideal for a couple or small family seeking to get away from it all. Set behind Pwll Du Beach, near Bishopston, on the Gower Peninsula, it is one of just two properties in this secluded setting. Sleeping up to four guests, it may also be booked with the adjoining, three-bedroom cottage, providing combined accommodation for up to 14 guests. Pack a picnic and amble less than 500 metres to the beach, where you can swim, surf and paddle. Pobbles Bay, 2 miles away, is another of the Gower’s picturesque beaches where you can spend time together on the sand. Head into Mumbles, 7 miles away, to peruse the shops and dine out.
The annexe offers an inviting, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a stone inglenook fireplace and wood burner to light on chilly days. Play games, watch TV or simply enjoy some quiet time with your book. There is a sofa bed in here for two extra guests. The generous kitchen area features the dining table, which makes the most of the light-filled corner of the living space. Follow the spiral staircase up to the first floor, which leads to a colourful double bedroom, with a desk and doors on to the balcony. A Jack and Jill shower room can be accessed from the bedroom and landing.
Lose yourselves in the sea views when you relax out on the large balcony. Dine out here too and have a glass of wine as you watch the sun set over the sea.
