An attractive Victorian semi-detached cottage sleeping six and designed with great attention to detail, is ideal for families or friends seeking a relaxing holiday close to the sea. The village has shops, pubs and places to eat and is within a mile of the coast, with golden sands a short distance away at the traditional seaside resort of Hunstanton (4.4 miles). Attractions here include the Wash Monster, a converted landing craft that ferries passengers out to see seals basking on sandbanks, and a thrilling marine aquarium where you can have a close encounter with sharks and piranhas or see orphaned pups in the seal rescue hospital. There are excellent local walks and cycle rides, and both the 329-acre Snettisham Park Farm, with deer safaris and pony riding, and the famous Norfolk Lavender gardens at Heacham (2 miles) are close by.

The ground floor layout of this beautifully furnished property comprises a quiet sitting room with comfortable seating and a Smart TV at one end and a study area with writing desk at the other. A separate light and airy open-plan living area houses the kitchen, a dining area and comfortable seating, with a second Smart TV. A utility area stores a washer/dryer and there is cloakroom with a WC. The first floor has three bedrooms-one double, one twin and one with two full-size bunkbeds. A family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

The 100 ft garden is private and fully enclosed with hedges, trees and fencing. A large patio with table and chairs outside the cottage looks on to the lawn, with an attractive decked area with seating and table for al fresco dining at the far end, plus BBQ. Part of the lawn is a play area with a large trampoline and supply of games.

Avondale cottage was such a lovely place to stay. The house is large and very comfortable. Well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable holiday. Really nice large fully enclosed garden which was safe or our dog. We had a slight issue while we were there which was dealt with by the owner straight away. Lovely location close to beacheRead mores and Sandringham estate. We would definitely recommend this amazing property for a very comfortable holiday and would love to return one day Hide

Genuinely, cottage is as per photos. No wide angle lenses used. Plenty of room inside and outside the cottage. Real home from home. All the equipment and comfort you need for a great stay. 2 sets of keys a bonus. Comfy beds, large kitchen, downstairs toilet. Ideal.

We had a super stay at Avondale, the village is lovely, it is in a good location to explore North Norfolk from and the property itself was very good. The house was very clean, the kitchen / diner is very spacious and well equipped and the beds comfortable. The garden is also very nice and the kids loved the trampoline. I would definitely recommend.

10/10 Really, REALLY nice cottage. Excellent quality throughout. And very comfortable. Gorgeous enclosed garden, perfect for children and dogs. We will definitely come back again.
