Set above a family bistro, this lovely home in the picturesque village of Beer is the ideal coastal hideaway for small families or groups of friends who want to explore the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by white chalk cliffs, the shingle beach (400 metres) is lined with fishing boats that bring in their daily catches of the region’s famous mackerel. Walkers will love the trail along the South West Coast Path to Seaton (1.5 miles). The views along the way are stunning, and once in Seaton, you can jump on the Seaton Tramway to travel through the River Axe wetlands to the medieval market town of Colyton. Alternatively, head to Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary (5.5 miles) to visit its adorable residents, or to Exmouth (20 miles) to hop onboard a Jurassic Coast Cruise.

Step inside the private entrance and make your way up the stairs to the first floor. You’ll discover a spacious home that has been furnished with care. Art Deco-style doors lead into a light and bright lounge with a quaint dining area and French doors that lead out onto the sunny balcony. There’s also a stylish oak kitchen/breakfast room where you can cook up a culinary masterpiece for your loved ones. A family bathroom with a separate WC completes the first-floor layout. Up on the second floor, you’ll discover a beautiful king-size bedroom, a double bedroom with lovely church views and a twin bedroom with views of the church and village.

Step through the French doors from the lounge and you’ll find an attractive balcony with views of the streets leading down to the sea – the ideal spot to pour yourself a glass of something cool and crisp and watch the world go by.

Great place to stay, well equipped, clean and tidy. Great walks to Branscombe Lyme Regis (about 10 miles) Honiton seems a bit run down but Budleigh Salterton seems to have picked up. Had a great meal at the Masons Arms, Branscombe and an excellent cream tea at The Old Teahouse in Branscombe and can park for a donation at the village hall. A suggesRead moretion for the flat would be hanging door hooks in the bedroom & bathroom, but its not that important!. Ate at the Ducky's it was just OK Hide

On-off weather- deplorable, then lovely. Found the Mill area in Lyme, and the costal path via the Donkeys. Smugglers good and Blue Ball in Sidford (I remember when it burnt down) Thank you for this lovely place to base ourselves- very comfortable and central to all Beer's delights. It was a shame about the weather.
