Situated in a working harbour town, this cosy apartment offers a truly Cornish getaway, ideal for couples who want a change of pace. Porthleven has plenty of amenities, and since it is a fishing port, you can try seafood fresh from the ocean in a local restaurant. Porthleven Beach is just 0.5 miles away, providing beautiful walks all year round. Outdoor enthusiasts will also love the stunning views along the South West Coast Path, or you can journey to the popular walking spot at the Lizard Peninsula 13 miles away. This area of Cornwall has lots to offer, such as St Michael’s Mount, which you can visit on a boat trip from Marazion 8 miles away.

Thoughtfully furnished with a coastal theme, this light apartment blends modern style with original features such as exposed stone and wooden beams. Venture up a few steps to the property and enter the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. There is a comfortable sofa and a Smart TV in the lounge area. The contemporary kitchen has all the essentials for cooking homemade meals for two, and the dining area enjoys views across Porthleven. From here there is a lovingly decorated bedroom with good storage and a cosy feature fireplace. The last room is a shower room which features original arched windows, a heated towel rail, and Victorian-style tiles in the shower cubicle.

Outside the property is a sunny patio with a table and chairs ideal for a morning beverage as Porthleven wakes up around you. There is also a shower attachment for washing sandy feet and an allocated bucket for wetsuits. The outbuilding shared with the adjacent property houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.

A Beautiful fully equipped clean cosy cottage in a great location, close drive to local coastal resorts. Literally five minutes walk to restaurants, shops, pubs. Driveway is a little on the tight side if you have a huge car width wise. We have a Peugeot 3008 which was ok. We would definitely stay at the Gables again. Loved everything about it..

It is in a prime location to the harbour (2 minutes walk). You walk in and immediately know that the property is exactly what you were looking for - only shame it was just for a week for me. Porthleven is vibrant with so much to see and do, and is a great base to explore/ re-explore this part of Cornwall. Well worth the six hour drive from Essex, wRead moreill be coming back again soon. Everything was to a high standard which we were expecting and location was perfect being so close to the harbour, beach and many lovely restaurants. The reason for the 4 score on booking again is only because we hope to visit many other places /countries and may not return to Cornwall very soon.

We had to request an oven glove which was missing. Also the property would benefit from having a tea pot. Other reviews we read praised the welcome pack. There appears to have been a policy change as there was no welcome pack and I had to pop down to Pengellys for milk when we arrived. Having said this the property was perfect for the two of us. ItRead more is in a great location convenient for the harbour and the shops and restaurants. We would happily return. Hide
