This cosy cottage with rustic features and charming outdoor space is located in the heart of quaint village, Braunton, on the North Devon Coast. Head to the village centre (less than half a mile) and you’ll find something for all the family: restaurants, ice cream shops and cafes selling must-try Devon cream teas. Looking for some outdoor adventures? There are plenty of nearby beaches to hop between including Putsborough (6 miles by car, 4.5 miles on foot), which boasts 3 miles of sand, and picturesque Woolacombe (7.5 miles by car, 5.5 miles on foot). Both are famous for surfing: hire wetsuits or visit surf shops in Braunton and try your hand at surf schools in Croyde (5 miles by car, 4 miles on foot). If you’re visiting in summer, take a boat trip to Lundy Island where you might be lucky enough to spot some wildlife and marine life.
Settle into the stylish ground-floor lounge with its wooden floors and snug leather sofas. Turn on the TV and relax in front of the wood burner in its feature brick fireplace for a cosy night in. The kitchen is rustic chic: think statement hanging lamps, ceramic wall tiles and wooden floors. Families can enjoy dinner together thanks to the extendable dining table. Head up to the first floor to find the homely double and lovely twin bedroom. The modern bathroom boasts a walk-in shower.
A cottage highlight has to be the enclosed outdoor space with plants, lawn and a paved area. Kick back at the four-seater wooden table and make use of the disposable BBQ area for evenings of private al fresco dining with the traditional white cottage as your backdrop. There’s a charming wooden garden shed up some steps.
