This two-bed apartment has been brought up to date with stylish, contemporary interiors and furnishings. Located on the ground floor opposite the beach, it’s just perfect for family-friendly seaside breaks. You need go no further than Southwold as there’s stacks to do here. There’s a path outside the property which has access points to the beach which is sandy enough at this end to make full use of those bucket and spades. There are rows of the iconic Southwold beach huts (think Adnams advertising) here and the restored pier is also within view to the left. Turn right for the centre of the town. It’s literally all on your doorstep to explore. The bench outside the flat also makes for prime people-watching (or maybe seals?). Shops, galleries and eateries abound in the town. Don’t forget to tick the lighthouse, Southwold Museum, RNLI boat station and harbour off the list as well! Fish and chips are a must or buy some fish and seafood from the kiosks along the harbour. In summer, why not walk across the Common down to that end of the town (1.3 miles) – you can do a loop, coming back along the river and via the RNLI station. After all that, you might want to stop for some liquid refreshment.
As you go into this wonderfully bright and airy ground-floor flat, you pass a bench on the covered terrace where you can sit for hours watching the tides and skies change. The spacious living/dining room has a modern light wood table and chairs for four set right in front of the large wall-to-wall window so you can watch the waves on self-catering days. How about a seafood platter bought locally? There’s comfortable seating and an exposed brick fireplace now housing an ornamental fire. The galley kitchen has modern fitted units and tiling plus everything you need for any cooking needs during your break. You can access the shared courtyard through a door here. The master double bedroom has the same sea views from a large window and there’s also a twin room perfect for a family-friendly configuration – both are welcoming spaces, decorated in calm tones with nautical pops and smart modern and wood furniture. Unwind at day’s end in a bath and plan tomorrow’s holiday fun.
There are two options for outside space at this property – the bench and small covered veranda-type area to the front which is enclosed by a wall and gate. This is however visually open to the footpath running past. Or, to the rear of the property, there’s an enclosed courtyard which is shared with the neighbouring flat, plus garden furniture.
