Situated in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this characterful cottage provides a welcoming and relaxing stay for extended families or groups of friends holidaying on the North Norfolk coast. The conservation village of Salthouse is a wonderful base with numerous walks from your front door. The shingle beach and marshes are a few minutes away, and a renowned pub and crab shop are at the top of the road, next to the village store. Much loved by walkers, birdwatchers and foodies, this diverse stretch of coast boasts the traditional seaside resorts of Sheringham (5 miles) and Wells-next-the-Sea (11 miles), and abundant nature including seals at Blakeney Point (3.5 miles) and the bird reserve at Cley-next-the-Sea (1.5 miles).
Arranged around an enclosed courtyard, this single-storey property has been fully renovated to a high standard, with plenty of room to spread out and relax. Snuggle up in the spacious, light-filled lounge after a bracing coastal walk, lighting the wood burner on chilly evenings, or gather around the large dining table for family meals and celebrations. The fully equipped kitchen has both an AGA and double electric oven so you can cook up a storm, while the cosy summer room offers a separate space for those wanting a little peace and tranquillity. A couple of shallow steps lead into the bedroom area where there are two double rooms both with en-suite, plus a further double and room with twin zip-and-link beds (that can be arranged as a super-king-size on request), which share a bathroom. The annexe is accessed separately off the courtyard, featuring twin zip-and-link beds (that can be arranged as a super-king-size), a petite kitchen, sofa and en-suite, offering a little privacy from the main house.
The inner courtyard with comfortable seating is a wonderful spot to gather in the evening for outdoor entertaining, or simply enjoy a morning cuppa in the sun.
