An unusual, coastal cottage, this charming retreat in Wells-next-the-Sea could be the perfect base for a couple or small family eager to explore North Norfolk. Sleeping three guests, plus one dog, it could suit anyone keen to walk the Norfolk Coast Path. Undertake the 12.5-mile stretch to Brancaster through salt marshes and past a Roman fort. Stiffkey, 4 miles from Wells, is another lovely area for walking: here you can follow footpaths through the marshes, go crabbing from bridges and stroll out to the sea, usually over 1 mile away from the village, depending on the tides. The sandy beach at Wells, also about 1 mile from the town, can be accessed by car as well as foot.
Make your way into this characterful cottage to find yourselves in a comfortable, beamed, open-plan lounge/diner, with the kitchen set slightly apart behind a part stud wall. Light the wood burner in the lounge area during the autumn and winter months to bring a welcoming warmth to the room. Watch the Smart TV in here together after your long walks or days on the beach. Make delicious meals with the fresh fish, crab and lobster you have bought in the town, then dine together at the table. Your bedrooms, a double with an en-suite shower room and a single, plus a separate WC, are all up on the first floor of the cottage, accessed by a steep, narrow staircase with a twist.
There is no outside space with this cottage, but there is a park within 50 metres of the cottage.
