This cottage stands out for its serene design and quality interiors, from original features such as flagstone flooring and a large inglenook fireplace to colourful artwork and driftwood art. It’s set in the west part of Looe, where charming narrow streets lead down to a picturesque harbour and a sandy beach with a little cafe where you can linger over a cup of coffee while people-watching or admire the view. Buy freshly caught fish from the market on the quay, 500 metres, or if you fancy it, have a go at catching your own! You can also take a boat trip to Looe Island, which has rare plants and plenty of wildlife including grey seals and seabirds. East Looe has more of a choice of shops and restaurants and bakeries selling Cornish pasties.
The decor of the cottage gives a relaxing coastal feel. Spend time together in the comfortable lounge, which has a TV and is home to the beautiful feature fireplace and wood burner. Or head to the stylish kitchen, which has views down across the town, perhaps to prepare some local fish for dinner. There are two king-size bedrooms on the first floor, one with an en-suite shower room, along with a twin bedroom. A family bathroom features a shower over the bath.
The enclosed garden and terraces on several levels are a wonderful feature of the cottage. Strategically placed seating makes the most of the sun and there are commanding views through the town to the sea in the distance.
