This cottage stands out for its serene design and quality interiors, from original features such as flagstone flooring and a large inglenook fireplace to colourful artwork and driftwood art. It’s set in the west part of Looe, where charming narrow streets lead down to a picturesque harbour and a sandy beach with a little cafe where you can linger over a cup of coffee while people-watching or admire the view. Buy freshly caught fish from the market on the quay, 500 metres, or if you fancy it, have a go at catching your own! You can also take a boat trip to Looe Island, which has rare plants and plenty of wildlife including grey seals and seabirds. East Looe has more of a choice of shops and restaurants and bakeries selling Cornish pasties.

The decor of the cottage gives a relaxing coastal feel. Spend time together in the comfortable lounge, which has a TV and is home to the beautiful feature fireplace and wood burner. Or head to the stylish kitchen, which has views down across the town, perhaps to prepare some local fish for dinner. There are two king-size bedrooms on the first floor, one with an en-suite shower room, along with a twin bedroom. A family bathroom features a shower over the bath.

The enclosed garden and terraces on several levels are a wonderful feature of the cottage. Strategically placed seating makes the most of the sun and there are commanding views through the town to the sea in the distance.

Excellent location for walking into Looe town only 5 minutes but a very steep hill to walk back up. Had a lovely holiday and weather was especially kind to us. Cottage was comfortable and clean and owners responded quickly to our fry for help with blocked drain.

Beautiful cottage with great facilities and amazing views. Plenty of room for 5 of us staying, loved the tiered garden with two fabulous patios both with great views. Lovely luxurious stay, the walk back up the hill got easier as the week went by and it was worth it for the views. Great location, the walk from Looe to Polperro with fish & chips at the 3 Pilchards was fantastic, Looe has plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. We will definitely be back!! Hide

The checkout time of 0900 is excessively early. Understandable during Covid but not anymore.

The description of the property says the beds are super king, there's no way the beds are king size. Information about using the cooker and hob non existent it would be helpful for future to supply this for guests. We stayed with a 19 month old so needed a stair gate top and bottom of the stairs we turned upto one pet gate at the bottom nothing at Read morethe top, but was told there would be stair gates. We also informed the owners on departure that the cottage smelt of stale dog pee in the living area. Check out time 0900 but your folder says 1000. Hide

Weathervane is a beautiful cottage on top of a steep hill, so therefore wonderful views over Looe and looking down to the harbour. The bedrooms, bathroom, and shower facilities were excellent. The lounge was cosy and comfortable with all media facilities provided. We brought our Jack Russell puppy and she loved scamping around the lounge on the Read moreflagstone floor, just perfect for her! The local people in the shops in Looe are very friendly and it was nice to see the resort in December when it was quiet, but as they were getting ready for Christmas, it was lovely to see all the decorations going up and a festive atmosphere beginning. We loved our stay and I would recommend Looe and Weathervane most highly. Hide
