This compact townhouse is perfect for a couple or a small family or group of friends to enjoy a holiday escape in Dartmouth. Located in the heart of the town a few hundred metres from Dartmouth’s Lower Ferry it is close to the waterfront as well as a whole host of restaurants and bars. This historic market town on the wide River Dart is a joy to discover with its interesting history and scenic waterside setting. Visitors can delve into the region’s past at the town museum or visit Dartmouth Castle at the entrance to the estuary. Beyond the town, walkers can stride out along the South West Coastal Path for dramatic views, or turn inland along one of the many paths that lead through this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are boat trips and water sports to enjoy along the river and at the lovely Blackpool Sands beach 3 miles away. For a day trip catch the foot passenger ferry to Torquay, Salcombe or Totnes.

The modern two-bedroom home has been arranged with the bedrooms on the ground floor and the living area upstairs. As guests enter there is a carpeted flight of 14 steps up to the open-plan living area. Here you will find a modern and bright space with large windows and clever use of lighting. The well-equipped kitchen wraps around a dining area set with a table for four. The lounge is to the other side with comfortable sofas and a large wall-mounted TV. A glass door leads out onto the terrace from here. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all located on the ground floor. The master bedroom features a double bed and a TV, as well as an in-room black glass shower cubicle and heated towel rail. The second bedroom is single with a trundle bed option and a TV. This room has an en-suite shower room. There is also a separate WC on the ground floor.

The upstairs terrace is accessed via the living room and is a large paved area over the garage. There is a distant view from here across the town to the river. Outdoor seating makes this a nice spot to enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks before heading out to enjoy the town.

We had an absolutely brilliant week in Dartmouth. The location of this property was perfect for us and the addition of a garage was wonderful. Did not want to leave. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very beautiful cottage, location perfect Only downside is the front bedroom can be noisy, at one point we have workmen turn up at 10.30pm and worked until 12.30am putting up Christmas lights I think- lets say with the bright lights and chatter sleep wasnt possible

This lovely 'upside-down' house was in a fantastic spot with a massive garage for our VW van, a lovely outside terrace with a view of the beautiful river and Kingswear. The house was nicely furnished and had all the usual equipment and amenities. Nice shower. We had great weather and spent our week in and around the town. Lots to do with various boRead moreat trips and steam train, boat down to the castle and church etc so we only went out in our vehicle on one occasion to go to the beach. Hide

We found the accommodation to be ideally placed for access to all the attractions that Dartmouth has to offer. The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped. Having the car close by and secure in a garage is an added bonus.

A lovely upside down cottage as the previous yard space is now a large garage,making way for an upstairs patio out from kitchen /living room .On the level and central in Dartmouth in a gorgeous spot.

This is a comfy clean two storey (upside down) apartment in a perfect location on the flat in Dartmouth with the bonus of its own garage and an outdoor terrace area over the garage with glimpses of the river and for people watching on lower street towards Bayards Cove. This was our first time visiting Dartmouth and we would definitely come back. No 19 is perfectly situated and great accommodation with everything you need. Lovely view of the river and across to Kingswear from the side of the roof terrace.

Dartmouth is totally beautiful and this upside down house is in a prime position, which I dont think can be bettered. Not only that, it comes with a good sized garage keeping any vehicle entirely safe. Great view from the terrace overlooking the River Dart and entrance to Bayard Cove. Great for people watching too.
