This rustic, relaxing cottage makes the perfect homely base for family or group trips to the North Devon Coast. Located in the heart of the vibrant village of Braunton, you’ll have plenty to explore on your doorstep, from cafes serving Devon cream teas, to the UK’s only British Surf Museum. If you’re into water sports, you’re in luck: Saunton Sands (2.5 miles by car, 4 miles on foot) and Croyde Beach (5.5 miles by car, 4.5 miles on foot) are both known as great surfing spots with lessons available and there are surf hire shops in Braunton. Back on dry land, you can explore the surrounding countryside on foot or on two wheels (there are local bike hire shops) including the famous Tarka Trail, which goes through Braunton and past the scenic Taw Estuary.
Enter the ground-floor living room where you can really make yourself at home on the corner sofa or the armchair beside the decorative wood burner. There’s a 43-inch, wall-mounted TV to entertain you and the living room is also home to the four-seater dining table, pleasantly positioned by the tall, narrow window - a lovely place for breakfast or evening meals. You’ll also appreciate the coffee tables and delightful wall pictures. The ground-floor kitchen is unique with its mixture of stone and tiled walls, and its feature wood burner (decorative only) in a brick enclave Upstairs there are two first-floor double bedrooms, one with striking stone walls. You’ll also find a single bedroom and a bathroom with a double drench shower.
Outside, you can relax in the fresh air thanks to the cottage’s small, paved patio area with a table and chairs, trellis and wooden gate offering privacy.
