Located in a quiet cul de sac, this stylish, chalet-style property feels like a cool hideaway for families or groups within the popular, picturesque coastal village of Braunton in North Devon. There are loads of outdoor adventures to be had including at the many famous beaches nearby, whether you visit 3-mile-long Saunton Sands (2 miles by car, 3.5 miles on foot), Blue Flag-awarded Woolacombe Beach (6 miles by car, 5.5 miles on foot) or Croyde (5.5 miles by car, 4 miles on foot) where you can take fun surf lessons in the scenic bay. Closer to home, the Tarka Trail passes through Braunton: great for cycling and rambling in lovely countryside including past the Taw Estuary. Head into village centre (less than half a mile) to sample local wares in the restaurants and cafes, including Devon cream teas. Sea lovers can tour the British Surf Museum - the only one in the UK.

You’ll have lots of bright, delightful places to relax in this property, starting with the comfy lounge. Choose a sofa or armchair, switch on the TV and light the wood burner for cosy nights in. The big windows and wooden floors add a rustic feel. The open-plan kitchen and diner is a great socialising space: cook family dinners in the well-equipped, modern kitchen and brew coffees using the Lavazza machine, to be enjoyed by all at the wooden dining table where there’s lots of light thanks to the many windows and large, bi-fold doors that lead to further relaxing spots outdoors. The ground floor also has a king-size and a queen-size bedroom, both with wooden floors and white shutters. Head upstairs to another king-size bedroom where the in-room, freestanding bath offers private, luxurious relaxation. There’s also a bathroom with a walk-in shower featuring a waterfall shower head, and a separate WC.

You’ll be impressed by the sociable outdoor areas: lay back on the sun loungers on the raised deck area, where steps lead down to a lawn (great for your dog) and a paved patio area which features a BBQ for al fresco family dining and a chininema to keep things cosy on cool evenings. Your dog may enjoy the gravelled area out front while any beach-lovers will certainly appreciate the outdoor shower with hot and cold taps.

This bungalow is a lovely property to enjoy a holiday in the pretty village of Braunton. Lovely large proportions whether referring to the room size, the dining room chairs and table, the sofas and TV or the King Size double beds. The Williams Arms (20min walk or 5min drive) has fabulous food (carvery every day 12-2pm). Great bakery in the village Read morecentre and Squires the fish & chip shop a must! Hide

Sanderling is very spacious and in an excellent location - its in a very quiet street but very conveniently placed for everything that Braunton has to offer. It has a really well stocked kitchen if you want to cook and plenty of spacious living space. If we go back to Braunton I wouldnt hesitate to book Sanderling again.

Excellent property in a peaceful location close enough to walk to all the amenities in Braunton. Ideally placed for the fantastic Saunton and Croyde beaches. Sanderling had everything required to make it a home from home and we would definitely visit again. We were a family of 4 with a 10 and 15 year old.

Clean and comfortable cottage in a quiet location but close to town. Having to vacate the property by 9am is not ideal - particularly as we couldn't get in until 3pm at the start of our holiday. Maybe this was to allow for Covid deep cleaning which isn't required any more?

Fabulous holiday home, exactly as described, we could not have asked for more. Nice, quiet location, extremely convenient for North Devon coast and access to a lovely local town centre. The food at the local Williams Arms is amazing if youre looking for a dog friendly pub. We would highly recommend it and would stay here again. Thank you.
