The tranquil village of Blakeney is known for its quaint flint cottages and narrow streets sloping down towards a tidal creek and makes a lovely spot for a quiet, romantic break. The cottage lies in the heart of the village, close to welcoming pubs, shops and restaurants. Blakeney is home to the remains of a 15th-century Guildhall, a two-towered church and a charming quay offering boat trips to spot the colony of grey seals and the migrating terns at Blakeney Point. Other local attractions include Cley Marshes, Muckleburgh Military Collection and Holkham Hall (all within 11 miles). Heading along the coast you can visit pretty seaside villages and resorts including Wells-next-the-Sea (8.5 miles), Cley (1.5 miles) and Cromer (14 miles).
On entering this inviting cottage, you will find yourself in the relaxing lounge/diner which is a lovely space for settling back and unwinding in at the end of a fabulous day out. The lounge has a warming wood burner, plenty of cosy seating and a TV/DVD so you can snuggle up to watch an old movie, curl up with a good book or chat late into the night. There’s also a dining area perfect for sharing a romantic meal for two as you plan the next day’s activities. The handy kitchen has a useful array of equipment including an electric oven, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. At the end of the day when it’s time for bed, head up the stairs which wind round and up to the first floor where you will find the bedroom. This light and tastefully decorated room features a comfortable king sized bed and plenty of storage space. The cottage also has a refreshing shower room complete with a large walk- in shower cubicle.
Stepping outside, a shared courtyard area provides a pleasant spot for a morning coffee as you get ready for the day ahead. There is also a outhouse containing a large functioning sink, washing machine and two points for padlocking bikes. Parking is available in a public car park just around the corner.
