From here, you can join the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which runs through Saundersfoot and enjoy an exhilarating walk with glorious sea views at every turn. Visit pretty Tenby (4 miles), known for its brightly painted houses, for a stroll along cobbled streets where you can browse shops and galleries. The town’s all-important lifeboat station is open to visitors in the summer months and for pre-booked tours out of season. For more vigorous pursuits, head to Heatherton World of Activities, where you can test your mettle on woodland zip-wires, go-karting and treetop walks or opt for golf and fishing. There are two spectacular castles with fairy-tale towers and turrets within easy reach: Manorbier (8.5 miles) and Carew (7.5 miles), where you can also see the historic Tidal Mill.
Step into the open-plan living area and find a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams that creates a wonderfully airy space, enhanced by tall green plants and soft lighting.
