This cosy converted barn combines gorgeous original features with modern furnishings and is the perfect retreat for couples who love the great outdoors. Walk from the door to explore Swaledale, the most northerly dale in the National Park. Visit the market town of Richmond and learn about its history at the castle, where there are superb views over the town and local hills (12.5 miles from the cottage). For a spot of culture explore the art galleries and museums in Reeth, just 1.5 miles away, or have a go at paddleboarding, canoeing, caving, rock climbing or abseiling with Alfresco Adventures based in Reeth. During your stay, make sure you try the wonderful choice of excellent quality local produce on offer at the markets, shops, pubs and restaurants nearby in Reeth, Grinton (2.5 miles) Low Row (2.6 miles) and Gunnerside (4.4 miles)
The quirky studio has a beautiful living area with wooden beams and a vaulted ceiling where you can snuggle up on the sofa in front of the cosy wood burner to watch TV or enjoy a home-cooked meal in the dining area. In the stylish kitchen area, you’ll find handmade bespoke units. The characterful bedroom area has a double bed with views of Harkerside. The ladder in the living area leads up to a snug on the mezzanine level – with beanbag seating, it’s the perfect place to chill out. This fabulous studio also has a shower room with WC and washbasin.
Opposite the cottage is a private garden with a bistro table and chairs where guests can soak up the wonderful views of Swaledale and say hi to the local sheep, Roger, Rafa, Teddy and Freddy. You can ask to meet them and give them a biscuit which they always enjoy!
