Ideally situated for enjoying central Swanage, this two-bedroom apartment is ideal for small families or groups looking to get out and about within the popular seaside town. The town centre is less than 200 metres away and there you can sample plenty of fresh, tasty produce within the many restaurants, bistros and tearooms. There are also local food shops including a butcher, delicatessen and a fishmonger if you fancy cooking at your retreat. The sandy beach is also within easy reach – just 500 metres away – and it boasts clear water that’s ideal for swimming, plus a bustling promenade.

The first room is the spacious lounge/diner with a laminate floor, plenty of natural light and two comfortable fabric sofas to relax on in front of the TV. The dining area features a table and chairs for four by the window. A well-equipped kitchen also offers white goods and appliances for a homely feel during your stay. Bedroom one has a divan double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom two has twin beds, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. You then have a shower room with tiled walls, a corner shower cubicle and WC.

Unfortunately the shower unit was in an unacceptable hygienic state. A lot of glasses in the kitchen had not been washed up properly. The light bulb in the kitchen was broken. We had to buy a new toilet brush to replace a broken one.

The flat is fine but the small size of the shower room was a surprise. The location, close to the beach and town centre, is a major draw.

small apartment in a very convenient situation for both town and beach. Very good to have a parking space at the rear as parking can be nightmare in Swanage

We found number 9 to be well equipped and a comfortable place to stay for our holiday. We were very happy with everything at the flat. On arrival there was fresh milk in the fridge and a selection of tea bags, coffee and biscuits for us. Having a designated parking space was key for us as Im disabled and cant walk far. The flat is on the first flRead moreoor but I was able to manage the single flight of stairs okay. Im a member of the Countryside Mobility Scheme and was able to book ahead to use a Tramper when we visited RSPB Arne (3.50 hourly rate) and Durlston Country Park (free hire for members). It was not too far to walk from the flat to Swanage beach and a little further distance to the Railway Station. The local Co op was big enough to get everything we needed for the weekly shop and was by the station. We hope to return again next year. Hide
