Property code: OC-PINES

This two-storey apartment in an idyllic rural village in the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is perfect for families or a group of friends who want a quiet getaway near the coast. The charming village of Mortehoe offers a local shop, a couple of pubs, a fish and chip shop, cafes and a museum with stories of shipwrecks which are all less than 0.5 miles away. In the surrounding area, there are a number of wonderful sandy beaches which are also popular surfing spots – such as Grunta Beach (1 mile) Woolacombe Beach (2 miles) and Putsborough Beach (6 miles). Bring your walk boots for the South West Coast Path that will take you to the craggy Morte Point (2 miles).

A stylish, contemporary design flows throughout this apartment. Sleek designs and cool coastal tones combined with warm wooden touches create a comfortable and laid-back atmosphere. Walking into the spacious lounge, the high ceilings and natural light pouring in through the windows creates a relaxing and airy space. Rest on the lavish, velvet ‘L’-shaped sofa beside the elegant feature fireplace while watching a movie on the Smart TV or admiring the distant sea views. Walking through into the kitchen/dining room, you’ll notice that this area is also spacious and bright. In front of the large bay window with sea views, there is an oak dining table and chairs for tucking into special home-cooked meals with your guests. The kitchen area is minimalist, boasting two eye-level ovens, an induction hob and a Quooker tap which provides you with instant boiling or cold water. Sit at the sophisticated breakfast bar on the kitchen island while sipping your morning coffee and making plans for the day. Make yourself at home in the comfortable dual-aspect master bedroom which offers a fashionable copper effect, metal king-size bed with an Otterman at the end of it for extra storage. Snuggle up in bed while admiring the distant sea views and ornate feature fireplace. The master bedroom also has an en-suite, which has a shower and WC inside. There is a cosy twin room which looks out onto the garden and has a ‘Jack and Jill’ door to the family bathroom, which can be locked from both sides. In the bathroom, there’s a waterfall shower over the bath, a WC and an airing cupboard for drying damp swimming costumes after a dip in the sea. At the end of the hallway, there’s a flight of stairs down to the third bedroom, where you’ll find some bunk beds which is perfect for two children. There’s also a basement which has a tumble dryer and storage area for your wetsuits and surfboards.

Relax outside in the lawn garden which is shared with the other apartments in this property. Additionally, you also have your own private, fenced garden to the side of the cottage.

Stayed at the pines with family. The living space was very spacious. The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped. The separate garden was a good feature. All in all it was another great holiday in Morthoe.

The apartment was so lovely - very comfortable, spacious, well equipped and the views from the kitchen and lounge are gorgeous. It's in a great location in Mortehoe, where you can walk to two pubs, a tearoom, bistro, post office with lovely little shop, fish and chip shop and a homemade takeaway place (not open out of season). Great walks from theRead more apartment too. Would definitely recommend. Hide

Great location for being near to beaches (but not right on them), and great for walks with the dog. Very handy campsite shop 5 minutes walk away, and 2 good pubs and chippy nearby for the essential holiday fish and chips.
