Spend a wonderful afternoon checking out the works of art at the Tate St Ives (0.5 miles) – it’s one of only four Tate galleries in the world. Alternatively, take a stroll along the pretty working harbour (0.2 miles), which sits at the heart of the historic fishing community. With Porthmeor (0.5 miles), Porthgwidden (0.5 miles), Harbour Beach (0.2 miles) and Porthminster (0.2 miles) to choose from, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches, so grab your surf board or bucket and spade and make the most of St Ives spectacular sands.

Continue on and you’ll discover a charming kitchen where there’s everything you need to let your culinary skills shine. You’ll also find two gorgeous bedrooms – a stylish king-size and a homely twin. Both offer pretty harbour views. Two smart shower rooms complete the ground-floor layout. Head upstairs to the first floor and you’ll find a beautifully-designed loft-style lounge/diner that’s spacious, light and airy. Pull up a chair and soak up those harbour views, or host a sociable dinner for your loved ones in the chic dining area.

You’ll find access to the patio via six spaced-out steps along a sloping passageway from the first floor. This lovely area has a table and seating area, so grab a chair and pour yourself a glass of something cool and crisp. Around the corner you’ll also find an outside tap with a shower attachment, along with a large toy box – the perfect place to rinse off and store the kids’ beach toys.
