This glamping lodge located on a working farm in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park is ideal for a family who loves the outdoors and is looking for a unique and tranquil getaway. Stay on the outskirts of the delightful village of Talybont-on-Usk (less than 0.5 miles), where you’ll be able to find a small selection of traditional pubs and shops selling local goods. The village also offers many scenic walking routes where you can see the surrounding rivers, canal, reservoir, hills, woods and wildlife. Central Brecon (13 miles) isn’t far from the property, where you can enjoy a mountain hike. Or, head to the Cantref Adventure Farm (7 miles) for a family day out.
Enter the property by walking through the covered front porch with a bench into the living/kitchen/dining area of this quirky getaway. Surrounding the wood burner is a sofa and two chairs, where you can huddle around the fire and play competitive board games with your guests. Beside the wooden dining table and chairs is a compact and well-
organised fitted kitchen for making home-cooked meals. There are three bedrooms in this charming lodge. The master bedroom is a comfortable double, while there’s also a twin room. An unusual third bedroom, the ‘cabin bed’, can be found in a unique private wooden cabin inside the lodge. Climb the four ladder steps to reach the raised bed, accessed through two small doors.
Situated on a glamping field on a farm, this property is surrounded by nature and wildlife. Explore Gilestone Pond, found on-site and a great place for spotting red kites, buzzards and herons. Directly outside the lodge are a bench and fire pit, which are perfect for dining alfresco with your guests while keeping warm. One of the highlights of this getaway is you’ll have your very own wood-fired hot tub. Relax in the bubbles and gaze up at the stars on a holiday you’ll remember forever. Also outside is the ‘Pitch Pod’ shower room, with a shower and WC.
