This comfortable two-bedroom Scandi-inspired lodge offering open-plan living, exterior space and simple interiors is just the perfect place to get back to nature for a family break or small group. While the property is detached, it is located on a small exclusive development 1.5 miles from Menai Bridge village on Anglesey, Wales where there is so much to see and do – get exploring and stock up on supplies here. The development itself is surrounded by countryside, or you can head 3.1 miles to Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, a historic estate with three elaborate gardens and a cafe. Practically next door is the Caeau Pen y Clip - North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve. Also 3 miles away is the Treborth Botanic Garden but you’ll have to cross the water via the bridge for that one. The vibrant seaside town of Beaumaris has a World Heritage Site castle and is 6 miles further up the estuary. Kids will love the small zoo with hands-on exhibits and play area which is just 0.8 miles from the lodge.
This family-friendly two-bed lodge has everything you need for a relaxing break away from it all, but also offers comfort and space for all members of your party. The open-plan living accommodation is well thought out, with the large room naturally divided into set areas, with only one wall between the kitchen and living room. Multiple, attractive windows flood the interiors with light, helped by the pine-look wood cladding and furniture. The dining area seats six in comfort at a modern table, while the contemporary kitchen with a grey slate floor has everything you need. There’s also a games corner with table football and an inviting lounge area with comfortable seating, wood burner and Smart TV. The decor is a mix of Scandi design with quirky antique touches and interesting lamps. A walk-in shower room with WC completes the ground floor. Upstairs there’s a twin room with wicker chairs and cute sloping ceilings, while the master double bedroom stuns with a bath actually in the room, Velux windows and its own door to a covered balcony – just right for a breakfast coffee or sundowner.
A covered veranda with a bench and seats is accessed from the open-plan living area and there’s a grassy area in front of this, although this isn’t entirely enclosed. However, the whole of Anglesey is at your disposal so there’s no shortage of outdoor, green space and beaches.
