This is a supremely comfortable home with stylish decor just waiting to welcome you to all the attractions of the Suffolk coast. Orford is under a 10-mile drive where you can stroll along the quay, sample the famous Pinney’s smoked fish and pop into a cafe or pub. Don’t miss a visit to the magnificent 12th-century castle at Framlingham, 6 miles away. Artist Maggi Hambling’s fascinating Scallop sculpture on Aldeburgh Beach, 7.5 miles from the property, is a tribute to the composer Benjamin Britten who lived in the town and is well worth visiting.

Conveniently all on one level, this bungalow has an open-plan living room with windows on two sides and is decorated in neutral shades with colourful artwork and a grandfather clock. The sitting area has large sofas and a chair to sink into, set around a wood burner, while the dining area is elegantly furnished for five. The generous kitchen is equipped with all you’ll need if you decide to cook at home. The main bedroom is decorated with flair and has excellent storage. There is a gorgeous conservatory off this room with bamboo furniture and greenery – perfect for an early morning cup of tea. There’s a further double bedroom with a nautical air and an antique dressing table. The cosy single room has accents of blue. The attractive black and white bathroom completes the accommodation.

Outside is an area for seating at the front of the property. A delightful small courtyard at the rear has a table and chairs surrounded by shrubs and raised flower beds – a lovely spot for enjoying summer evenings and chatting the night away.

The property is well laid out with everything we needed for a week spent out and about. The location is a little further from the coastal towns than we had thought, but road connections are good so it made little difference.

Three generations recently stayed at Swinton. It is well furnished and equipped for a family holiday. Ideally situated for visiting all that Suffolk has to offer. The "treat tray" was much appreciated Lovely pub along the road.

This property is such a great find - a spacious and comfortable bungalow with lots of options - comfy sofas, a conservatory and outdoor seating, as well as very comfortable beds, and all literally a minute (or less) from the main A12, with access to the Sufflolk coastal area. this was a short break for two of us, but we will definitely return with Read morethe family in the future. Wow!! Our family has recently returned from a fantastic holiday in Suffolk. We stayed at Swinton Bungalow in Stratford St. Andrew, which was absolutely fantastic in every way. Every home comfort was available and so much more!! (Extra special mention about the most comfortable beds ever) The lovely owners Delores and Steve had very kindly left a fRead moreabulous welcome basket full of yummy treats, which we all enjoyed. We could not have stayed in a better location for experiencing this incredible part of Suffolk. Swinton Bungalow is situated up a very quiet lane just off of the A12, which enabled us to visit many attractions (all within a maximum half hour drive, and all suitable for our family party, where our age range was 7 to 70). A week is simply not long enough to see everything that we wanted to see. Our Grandson said that it was the best holiday ever, and we totally agree with him. Like Arnie said "We will be back". Hide
