Property code: OC-JBTCHE

A lovely seaside bolthole for two, this smart apartment was converted from a former shop and is located in the popular coastal village of Beer in Lyme Bay on the Jurassic Coast. Located opposite the church and right by the pretty brook that runs down to the sea, the property is in the centre of all the village amenities and independent shops and eateries. You’re only 400m from Beer’s suntrap shingle beach, where you can hire deck chairs, enjoy watching the coloured wooden boats bob around and see fishermen landing their catches of fresh fish, crabs, lobsters and scallops. You can even grab a bite to eat at the beachside café. You may want to take a boat trip, try your hand at mackerel fishing or take in the breathtaking views from cliff walks along the South West Coast Path to Branscombe (2.5 miles) or Seaton (1.5 miles).

From the picturesque high street, one step leads down into the spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is full of light thanks to its large, opaque window and includes both a leather sofa and separate armchairs. The well-designed kitchen area has plenty of space for cooking and features a breakfast bar for two, and there is also a dining table off to one side. To the rear of the apartment, a stylish king-size bedroom has access to a lovely en-suite shower room with the option of a raindance shower head or a separate hand-held shower attachment.

Although there is no private outside space at this property, you’re only around 300 metres away from the beach.

Five star we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, perfectly clean and comfortable large bed. Very spacious, we felt at home in Beer the minute we arrived, just a few minutes walk to the sea where there a three cafes on the beach to chose from plus several pubs and other eateries. From Beer we enjoyed Branscombe , go along the path from the beach to find tRead morehe watermill the bakery and old forge which are well worth the 20 minutes walk. A lovely property in an excellent position. Only a few minutes to the beach ,shops, eating places and car park. The property is well presented . Our only observation , not complaint, is that as an elderly couple the seating is probably more suited to younger visitors. Despite this we would still certainly return.

We had a wonderful week based at The Treasure Chest in Beer. The location was perfect and the addition of the parking pass was much appreciated. We enjoyed sampling the local fare , especially at The Dolphin, and with Woozies Deli so close we were able to choose from a good variety of different foods. The chimes from the clock and the sound of thRead moree stream made it a very peaceful location. We would certainly have no hesitation to come back again. Hide
