A unique holiday retreat, which dates back in part to 1642, this quirky retreat makes a wonderful base for a Dorset stay. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom abode, which also welcomes four-legged friends, is 8 miles from both Weymouth and Dorchester, and 2 miles from the South West Coast Path, with its views out to Chesil Beach. Head down to the beach at Abbotsbury, 3 miles away, to walk on the sand or fish. Swimming is not recommended here, but can be enjoyed at Bowleaze Cove, 8 miles away, or West Bay, 14 miles away. Head into Weymouth to visit the Sealife Centre and to see striking Nothe Fort and while away an afternoon in Dorset browsing in the shops.
Step into this beautiful cottage and head through to the fabulous lounge. This room, which has a low 6’3” ceiling with a lower beam, is a colourful space, with a great inglenook fireplace, now housing an electric heater. There is comfortable seating in here to settle on as you watch the Smart TV. The kitchen/diner is also a welcoming room and has everything you need to cater for your party during your stay, with a super dining table for 6. This opens into a morning room - complete with a fantastic corner bar to serve your drinks from. The French doors open on to the courtyard garden. There is also a family bathroom downstairs. Up on the first floor, there is a double bedroom, with a TV and en-suite shower room, a double bedroom, with a TV, plus a twin room.
The courtyard garden is a pretty and private space, with super comfy garden furniture for outside dining and an attractive, mature olive tree.
