This bright and beautiful chalet is the ideal accommodation option for small families or groups of friends in search of a smart and stylish holiday home in a convenient location in Swanage. With two gorgeous sitting rooms to choose from, it’s particularly popular with multi-generational groups who want to spread out and enjoy their own space on holiday. With its iconic steam railway and gorgeous beach, there’s lots to keep you entertained in Swanage. Spend a glorious day at the town’s sweeping sandy beach (0.5 miles), which is a great spot for swimming. Or head up to the cliffs and explore Durlston Country Park (1 mile). Some 33 species of butterflies call this reserve home and you may even be lucky enough to spot pods of dolphins just off the coast. Make sure you make a pitstop for a cup of tea in the park’s cafe, which is located in the restored Durlston Castle. Alternatively, hop aboard the Swanage steam railway (just over 300 metres) and take a day trip to Corfe Castle (5.5 miles), one of the most iconic survivors of the English Civil War. Climb up through the romantic ruins to enjoy breathtaking views across Purbeck and learn about the castle’s 1,000 years of history as a royal palace, fortress and family home.
Step inside and you’ll discover a fabulously fresh interior that’s surprisingly spacious. Slip onto a sofa by the electric fire in the main lounge and admire the view from the double doors that lead out onto the rear patio. Alternatively, stretch out in front of the TV in the second lounge which has double doors to the conservatory. Make your way to the sleek and modern kitchen when it’s time to make dinner – you’ll find everything you need to allow your culinary skills to shine – and then gather your loved ones around the table in the light and bright conservatory. A stylish shower room with a walk-in shower and WC rounds off the ground-floor layout. Head upstairs and you have two gorgeous bedrooms to choose from – one double and one twin. Both offer lovely garden views. A smart bathroom with a bath and WC completes the first-floor layout.
Outside, you’ll find lovely lawned and paved areas to the front and back of the chalet, as well as a gravel patio area to the side. With three sets of tables and chairs, as well as two lunging chairs, there are plenty of options for al fresco dining.
