A rustic cottage built from Welsh stone boasting numerous original features, including exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace, and in a truly magnificent location. Two hundred metres from the nearest neighbouring property, the cottage nestles on the flanks of Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon, which can be ascended from the doorstep, and 100 metres off Pen-y-Pass, a stretch of mountain road bordered by mountains. There is so much to enjoy in the area, try Llyn Padarn & Padarn Country Park, 3 miles away, where visitors can enjoy everything from swimming and paddleboarding to a trip on the Llanberis Lake Railway or a browse around the Welsh Slate Museum. The slate quarries are a Unesco world heritage site whilst further history can be absorbed 12 miles from the cottage at Caernarfon Castle, a fortress-palace built on the River Seiont in the Middle Ages. Dinas Dinlle, a dramatic shingle beach with views of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula, is 16 miles from the cottage.
The simple welcoming interior includes a wood-beamed ceiling and two comfortable sofas arranged around the wood burner within the inglenook fireplace, with a different stunning mountain scene through each window. Similar views can be found in the open-plan kitchen/diner, which comes with a table and seating. There are two bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, while the family bathroom comprises a shower and WC. The front porch has been arranged as an area to wash and dry clothing.
The grass garden is enclosed on all sides by dry stone walls and is the best place to enjoy 360° mountainous views, while a stream at the rear of the cottage is the perfect place to enjoy paddling or just sit and watch time pass.
