Get away from it all in this spectacular woodland hideaway, just outside Tenby. The lodge is located on the edge of Trefloyne Manor Golf Club, and guests are welcome to make use of the on-site restaurant and spa facilities. The property sleeps six guests and makes a fantastic rural bolthole for family and friends looking to switch off and recharge. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches, with some of Wales’s finest stretches of sand within easy reach of the lodge. Freshwater East is just 8 miles away, and boasts a vast, sweeping bay, backed by dunes. This is a popular beach for families, thanks to its calm, sheltered waters. Alternatively, the remote haven of Barafundle Bay is just 11 miles away. This secluded spot of white sand, backed by exotic-looking pine trees, is reached by a 0.5-mile walk, meaning it is beautifully quiet, even in the height of summer. Heading in the opposite direction, you’ll soon reach the popular seaside resort of Tenby (2 miles), where you’ll discover an excellent range of independent restaurants and shops, dotted throughout the town’s iconic narrow, colourful streets.

Enter the striking lodge into the hallway, where you’ll find space to hand your coats and store your shoes. From here, head into the beautiful kitchen/diner, with its impressive wooden ceiling and sleek units. A dining table with corner seating is nestled by the window and accommodates all six guests. A king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom are also located on the ground floor, along with a chic family bathroom. A wooden staircase leads to the first floor and the spacious lounge, where exposed woodwork on the floor and ceiling creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The space is bathed in natural light, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, and has a choice of seating areas looking out over the trees. You’ll also find a gorgeous king-size bedroom on this level, with a delightful Juliet balcony and handy en-suite shower room.

Outside, a magnificent, glass-fronted balcony juts out into the trees from the first-floor lounge. This is a relaxing place to sit and watch the local wildlife, read a book, or simply sip a glass of wine. On the ground floor, a decked, enclosed veranda envelops the property, along with an enclosed patio area for al fresco dining. An external utility room houses a washing machine, tumble dryer, and table-top freezer, and also provides a secure place to store bikes.

A lovely lodge, clean spacious and very comfortable. Great location, the driveway needs a upgrade especially for the winter months as a person who is not a confident driver would feel uncomfortable when they turn into the actual driveway to the property. It's just the first little bit. I loved the views and as a woman by herself I felt safe. The Read morerestaurant at the Manor was lovely and staff great, also Dovecote beauty treatments is definitely a must. Everything is on your doorstep. I would come back in a heartbeat. Hide

There is a fabulous lounge on the first floor with 3 comfy sofas, a couple of easy chairs & a large TV. There is a 1st floor balcony & ground floor verandah with furniture. There are lovely views of the woodland & golf course beyond. The location is very convenient for the areas various tourist attractions and there is a lovely restaurant & bar at the Trefloyne Manor hotel. There is enough parking at the lodge for 2 or 3 cars. Access to the lodge is via a steep, windy gravel driveway. Its probably not a problem in a 4WD vehicle but we found it very difficult in a powerful saloon car. Hide

Please can you add a note to the listing about road access. The house is at the top of a very steep uneven gravel track. Luckily our 4WD SUV managed it but I know our other sports car would not. Our parents ended up leaving their car at the golf club. Aside from that it was an amazing holiday, thank you.
