From the house down into the quaint village of Kingswear itself is less than a mile, and here you will find two pubs a café and shop.
From Kingswear you can catch the ferry across to Dartmouth – where you will find a museum, art galleries, a range of independent shops and excellent places to eat – or hop on the steam train at Kingswear for a half-hour journey through stunning countryside all the way to Paignton. On the River Dart you can sail, kayak, paddle board or take a boat trip, or explore the nearby beaches including the remote Sugary Cove (2.5 miles) or the popular Blackpool Sands (4.5 miles).
On the ground floor of the house is an inviting lounge, with comfortable seating gathered around a wood burner set into an exposed stone wall, and a large window with wonderful views. The large, open-plan kitchen/diner has an attractive mix of quarry tiles and wooden flooring. It features a breakfast bar and island with storage space. A spiral staircase takes you up to the first floor, where you will find a lovely double bedroom with a bay window and a bathroom. On the second floor are a further double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed, while on the top floor is an attractive shower room.
For al fresco meals or simply enjoying a drink while discussing your day, outside the property is a terrace has beautiful views with a dining table and chairs, as well as a further garden area, reached via steep steps.
