Seaton Wetlands is just a mile away, where you will find five bird hides and nearly 4km of level trails and boardwalks suitable for wheelchairs, bikes and pushchairs. The very pretty Axe Harbour is half a mile along the esplanade in one direction, or take the South West Coast Path for just under 2 miles in the opposite direction and you will come to the picturesque fishing village of Beer. Lyme Regis – unmissable for its famous Cobb and excellent selection of specialist shops – is 7 miles, and Charmouth, with its renowned fossil-hunting beach, is 11.5 miles.
