Set in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with footpaths and woodland trails on your door, this is the ideal property for a couple's countryside retreat. Take a bike ride along the local cycling routes or a walk through the woods opposite the property and drop into the village tearooms for coffee and cake. Pop into the nearby farm shop (1.5 miles) to pick up local produce and cook up a storm on the cottage’s BBQ. Canterbury is 11.5 miles away with great shopping, many restaurants, the Marlowe Theatre and its famous cathedral. The seaside towns of Hythe (7 miles) and Whitstable (18 miles) are within easy reach for a day out at the beach. Alternatively, visit Wingham Wildlife Park, 11.5 miles away, or the fabulous Howletts Zoo, 9.5 miles away, for close encounters of the animal kind.
Upon arrival at the cottage, you will be greeted with a wonderful locally-sourced welcome pack including eggs laid by the homeowner's own chickens; a jar of honey collected by the homeowner from their hive of bees and processed on the grounds; and locally-sourced juice, milk and condiments. The front door opens into a hallway with direct access to a king-size bedroom with oak furnishings and hand-painted artwork above the bed frame. Upstairs is where you’ll find a spacious open-plan living/dining area with comfortable seating and a charming dining table. The modern, fully-fitted kitchen is full of natural light from a slanted skylight and comes complete with everything needed to dine at home. A contemporary tiled bathroom completes the cottage.
Outside, guests have access to a private, fully-enclosed garden encompassing a patio area and lawn with a picnic table and BBQ.
