With its gorgeous original features and crisp, modern interior, small families or groups of friends are sure to fall in love with this characterful cottage in the heart of one of north Norfolk’s most sought-after villages. Sitting in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Thornham is a lovely village that’s popular with walkers, photographers, artists and cyclists. Birdwatchers will find RSPB Titchwell just 2 miles from the village, while the golfers in your group will be happy to tee-off at Hunstanton Golf Club, which is only 3.5 miles away. Further afield, head to Wells-next-the-Sea (12.5 miles) to stroll along the pretty quay or take a charming 4-mile trip to Walsingham on the world’s smallest public railway. Alternatively, make your way to Morston Quay (19 miles) to take a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeley Point. If you’re lucky enough to be there between June and August, there’s a good chance you’ll see common seal pups. If you’re there between October and December, that’s when the grey pups arrive.
You’ll find all the comforts of home in this characterful cottage. Step inside and you’ll discover a stylish Shaker-style kitchen with granite worksurfaces, exposed beams and traditional Norfolk pamment flooring, as well as a lovely living/dining area where you can host a group dinner, chill out in front of the TV or relax in front of the wood burning stove. Head up to the first floor via the traditional Norfolk winder stairs and you’ll find a large, smart family bathroom and two bedrooms – a double with a pretty feature fireplace and a twin.
Dine al fresco in the delightful south-facing courtyard to the rear of the cottage – it’s a real suntrap during the summer months. To the front of the cottage there is a long lawned garden that stretches down to the road.
