Located in a peaceful location in Mid Cornwall, this delightful self-contained cottage (forming part of the original farmhouse) is ideal for friends, couples and families who want to explore the best of Cornwall’s coast and country. Despite its secluded position, it’s a great base for visiting the north coast from Boscastle (11 miles) down to Newquay (25 miles), and the south coast from St Austell (19 miles) to Looe (24 miles). You could even join the South West Coast Path and walk from one fishing village or cove to another. You’re also well-placed to enjoy walks on rugged Bodmin Moor (8.5 miles), or for keen cyclists, you can join the Camel Trail at the end of the lane.
Deceptively spacious, this well-presented country cottage allows natural materials to take centre-stage with slate floors, exposed stone walls and classic wooden furniture. With light tones and the occasional pop of pattern and colour, it’s welcoming throughout and a home-away-from-home. On the ground floor, there’s a large lounge/diner with a large granite fireplace at its heart with a wood burner to light on colder evenings. With ample seating for everyone, you can all spend quality time together whether you’re reclining on the sofa or sitting at the table looking at a map or playing a game. Next door, a well-equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need to cook up a hearty meal, with views over the garden. Upstairs, there is a huge bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower.
Outside, a slope leads up to the large, enclosed lawned garden to the rear. Here, you can enjoy a BBQ and a few evening drinks. When the sun goes down, listen out for the local owls and enjoy a spot of stargazing.
