This single-storey brick cottage is set in the pretty village of Peasmarsh and has lovely views over the garden hedge to fields beyond. This is a great location for walkers and cyclists with many trails, footpaths and bridleways close by as well as suitable places for wild swimming locally. Hire a kayak at Bodiam Boating Station, go bird watching at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, or head to the long stretch of beach at Camber Sands, 8 miles away. Rye itself is full of character, with cobbled streets and ancient buildings as well as a great selection of restaurants and pubs. Four vineyards are located within 10 miles of the cottage and historic properties and gardens nearby include Great Dixter (5 miles) and Sissinghurst Castle Garden and Scotney Castle, both 16 miles.
The cosy sitting room includes two sofas set around a fireplace with a flame-effect electric fire, perfect for a relaxing beside after a day of adventure. When you’re feeling peckish, the sunny kitchen has a dining table for four and a door leading out to the garden. A utility room includes the fridge/freezer and Magimix food processor, and the bathroom has a three-quarter length bath and shower. Both bedrooms have king-size beds with memory foam mattresses; one is a zip-and-link bed that can be made into twin beds if required.
The pretty garden is laid to lawn and has a gravel patio area with a table and chairs and a fire pit.
