Situated in a quiet spot in Mid Wales, this barn conversion is a perfect place to relax as a couple or small family, with an array of adventures just a few miles away for those who fancy it. There are a number of beautiful countryside walks right on the doorstep of the property, one of which stops by one of the local pubs for a chance to refuel. Newtown is 11 miles away, with a selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and museums which are certainly worth a visit. The Welshpool Light Railway (5.5 miles) is a great place for history lovers or to visit Llyn y Dinas Nature Reserve (14 miles), with plenty of wildlife to spot along the way.

This stone-built barn conversion is full of character and retains many of its original features, including exposed oak beams and beautiful wooden floors. The heart of the home is the kitchen and dining area, where family feasts at all times of day can be enjoyed. With doors out to the garden, the room benefits from a great view. The living area is set just off the kitchen/diner and is bright and airy, with comfortable leather sofas and armchairs, plus a TV for evening entertainment, The master bedroom has a wooden king-size bed and neutral decor, in a similar style to the twin room. The family bathroom completes the property, with a shower over the bath.

Outside is a spacious, enclosed garden area with a patio, lawn and driveaway which children, adults and dogs will all enjoy during the summer months sitting on the garden furniture. There is also a BBQ for al fresco feasts.

Great location for us to explore most of Wales. The cottage had all we needed. The owner came by shortly after we arrived and was lovely to chat to. Lots of info and leaflets in the cottage. Beds comfy and plenty of DVDs and games for a chilled evening.
