Hidden away in Holkham Park, this countryside location is ideal for long walks from your doorstep. Walk around the lake, watch the deer grazing and explore the woodlands in the park. Holkham Estate, of which the property and park are part of, spans 25,000 acres with a beautiful sandy beach (4.5 miles), thriving wildlife in the Salthouse Marshes (12 miles) and a village with a delightful pub (2 miles). Further afield, yet still within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you can find some picturesque coastal villages such as Blakeney (8.5 miles) and Cley (10 miles).
Entering the red brick cottage, take off your walking boots and hang up your coat in the vestibule after a day of exploring the tranquil surrounding countryside. Walk through a brick doorway into the open-plan living room, diner and kitchen. The sitting area has stylish chairs and a comfortable leather sofa next to the wood burner and TV. Walking across the rustic stone floor into the kitchen, you’ll find the built-in kitchen which is spacious and modern. There’s an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and even an original feature bread oven for you to use. Re-entering the living room and moving through to the dining area, the table and chairs create an intimate space for sharing mealtimes with loved ones. Doors in this room open up into the garden. Also on this level is a cloakroom with a WC. Upstairs, the master bedroom is a calming space with distant sea views and an elegant, shimmering chandelier above the king-size bed. The second bedroom is a twin room. When it’s time to really unwind, run yourself a bubble bath in the family bathroom which is found upstairs, too.
Outside is a generous lawned garden with a patio area which is enclosed with fencing and surrounded by trees and countryside views.
